The second edition of the Africa Labour Migration Statistics Report is released to support the implementation of the African Union’s (AU’s) Agenda 2063 (AU), the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration and the Strategy for the Harmonization of Statistics in Africa 2017- 2026.
Migration Governance Indicators: A Global Perspective
The Migration Governance Indicators (MGI) process has been rolled out in 50 countries, more than a quarter of UN Member States and almost a third of IOM Member States. This report uses data collected through the MGI to analyse trends and identify areas with potential for further development in migration governance worldwide, as countries gear up to achieve their national and international commitments related to migration.

This paper presents an overview of the development of a methodology for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicator 10.7.2 on the number of countries with migration policies to facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people. The methodology builds on the Migration Governance Framework, a tool developed by IOM and uses an existing global data source, the United Nations Inquiry among Governments on Population and Development, administered by UN DESA.

Migrants as Messengers: The Impact of Peer-to-Peer Communication on Potential Migrants in Senegal - Impact Evaluation Report
The report presents key results from a rigorous impact evaluation that assessed the impact of the Migrants as Messengers (MaM) information events in Dakar, Senegal. MaM was a peer-to-peer awareness-raising campaign implemented in Senegal, Guinea and Nigeria from December 2017 to March 2019.
