Migration Health Research to advance evidence based policy and practice in Sri Lanka
IOM's Migration Health Research Series aims at sharing high-yield scientific papers and analytical commentaries aimed at advancing migration health policy and practice at national, regional and global levels. The first book of the series is a two-part volume profiling the development of the National Migration Health Policy and intervention framework in Sri Lanka, which to a large extent was driven by an evidence-informed, multisectoral approach.
Assessing the capacity of national statistical systems: A user’s guide
The guide identifies four tool typologies to assist in the preparation of national statistical strategies; aid in the development of capacity building efforts; monitor statistical performance internationally; and asses quality of statistical codes of practice. The Assessment guide compares 15 of the most common assessment tools and explains how to interpret and use them. It further offers a more in-depth description of each of the tools, as well as resources for further guidance.

Statistics for SDG indicator 10.7.1: Draft Guidelines for their Collection
Goal 10.7 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) calls for facilitating orderly, safe, and responsible migration and mobility of people, including through implementation of planned and well- managed migration policies. The objective of this document is to provide guidelines that may assist those aiming to produce the statistics needed to calculate SDG indicator 10.7.1, “Recruitment cost borne by employee as a proportion of monthly income earned in country of destination.”
