Mobile phone data

Mobile phone data generally refers to de-identified call detail records (CDRs) of network operators, which contain the time and associated cell tower of text messages, calls, and data downloads. They hold valuable information for studying human mobility on national and regional levels in near real-time, such as with modelling the spread of infectious disease, or analysing traffic and commuting patterns.
