This report presents the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) discussion, of which the objective was to identify challenges and best practices by countries of origin, transit and destination, as well as possible joint efforts to protect the human rights of unaccompanied migrant children and adolescents.
Sarzin reviews the availability, credibility, and methodologies behind common sources of displacement data, in doing so helping researchers and policymakers review their approaches to understanding an often difficult situation to encompass. Key definitions and ongoing programmes are also discussed to offer information for both those new to the topic and those to whom forced displacement is a familiar terrain.
