Guidelines for the Template for a Generic National Quality Assurance Framework (NQAF)
These guidelines offer a flexible template for countries to establish and prepare their own national statistics framework or strengthen their existing system. The publication addresses all the steps needed to do this, offering not only overviews of the tasks and challenges facing national offices responsible for this data management, but also detailed break downs of the questions relevant offices need to answer while improving their methodology (e.g. 'Is resource allocation reviewed on a regular basis' as one of many questions for 'assuring adequacy of resources'). The work also includes an extensive list of further resources from various international and national statistical offices that users may find helpful.
